In 2019 a chance introduction led me to the late leadership thinker Robert Ellis just as I was asking, “Is there more to life than another 10-year grind and maybe another exit?”
Robert showed me that leading from Essence could create outsized value now—without 80-hour weeks—while adding the meaning and quiet fulfillment I thought had to wait until “someday.” I joined his only cohort of six apprentices and have since woven his insights into the two decades of entrepreneurial practice I already carried. Those tools now power the transformations my clients experience.
